Parent Fundraising Information

 

Fundraising is a unique opportunity for parents to raise money for their daughters to fully participate in the Texas Girls' Choir and to go on tours with the choir.
 

GENERAL INFO ABOUT PARENT FUNDRAISING

 

If you have never worked before and have any questions such as how is the pay is divided, when are we paid, etc. please email us with your name and phone number and one of us will be glad to contact you.

 

Important to Remember for all Fundraising Events

When you sign up to work you are making a commitment and are expected to be at the event on time.  If you can't work for whatever reason YOU are responsible for your replacement and must contact the fundraising Chairperson to let them know who is replacing you in advance of the event.  There is a $50.00 cancellation fee (taken from your fundraising account) if you do not find a replacement. 

 

  FORT WORTH CONVENTION CENTER,

WILL ROGERS & TEXAS RANGERS

 

The convention center is located on Commerce Street just North of I-30. Metered parking is available on Calhoun Street (the next street east of Commerce).  Since this is metered parking, during the week if you get there before 6:00 pm be sure to put money in the meter, otherwise you will get a parking ticket. 

 

You can also park in the FWCC parking garage for $6.00.

 

Uniform requirements for the FWCC:

  • Hat:  TGC hat or visor.

  • Top:  TGC Blue Emblem Blouse.

  • Bottoms:  Black Pants, Capris, or Skirt.  No Jeans or shorts

  • Shoes:  Prefer Black.  Comfortable is first consideration, No open toed, flip-flops, sandals or heels etc.

Uniform requirements for the Will Rogers:

  • Hat:  TGC hat or visor.

  • Top:  TGC Blue Emblem Blouse.

  • Bottoms:  Black, Khaki or Navy Blue Shorts, Pants or Skirt.  No Jeans

  • Shoes:  Prefer Black.  Comfortable is first consideration, No open toed, flip-flops, sandals or heels etc.

Uniform requirements for the Texas Rangers:

  • Hat:  Ranger Hat.  Buy at Ballpark.   Cost $5.00.

  • Top:  Provided by Sportservice. 

  • Bottoms:  Khaki  Pants, Shorts, or Capris. No Jeans

  • Shoes:   Comfortable, No open toed, flip-flops, sandals or heels etc.

Colonial

  • Top:  TGC Blue Emblem Blouse.

  • Bottoms: Khaki Pants or Shorts

  • Shoes: Comfortable, No open toed, flip-flops, sandals or heels etc.

The age restriction to work is 16 years and older for non-alcoholic events .  Staffing requirements change but generally we can only work a maximum of two kids per booth.

 

Adults must have a TABC license, contact us for locations that hold the training for you to obtain your license.

 

You must be on time for your assignment.

TRADERS VILLAGE FUNDRAISING

Start up will be the first weekend in March and will continue through November
2009.   We usually need 5 people for Saturday/6 people for Sunday. 

We do not sign up people on the TGC website you need to contact us by phone or email to get on the distribution list and to let us know when you are available to work.

If you sign up and cannot work, YOU are responsible for your replacement and letting us know in advance who will be working. 

Starting time is 9:00 a.m. Saturday/Sunday, plan to stay until 6:00 PM or a little later.  

If you can find another parent, friend, or relative to split a shift with you that can be arranged.

You must be at least 16 yrs old to work at Traders Village. Adults need to have a TABC license which can be obtained by attending a 3-4 hour class at Traders Village.

Uniform Requirements for Trader's Village:

  • Black bottoms (pants, shorts, capris or a skirt) 

  • TGC shirt or a Trader's Village top will be provided

  • Comfortable shoes, No open toed, flip-flops, sandals or heels etc.

  • Texas Girls' Choir hat or Trader's Village will provide you one of their hats
