Mendoza - Texas Girls' Choir girls go to church

Today we went to church in Mendoza at Primera Iglesia Evangelica Bantista
(First Baptist Church)
The girls were asked to sing, and they sang I Saw A Dove At the Window Of the World,
Let There Be Peace On Earth, and The Lord Bless You And Keep You

Layne Trent plays and directs the Texas Girls' Choir girls in Let There Be Peace On Earth

The people were very nice - the service was lively, all in Spanish

Birthday Celebrations

Today we had one cake and one candle for all who celebrated birthdays on this trip
Tom Sandidge, Lauren Cogswell (Longmont Chorale), Marissa Reyes (TGC), and Dr. Ackerley
Today was actually Dr. Ackerley's birthday!

They all blew out the one and only candle together!
TGC had brought the candle on the trip for Marissa and it was happily shared by all

Concert that evening in Mendoza

In the afternoon we had a rehearsal for tonight's concert at 7 pm.  Three choirs performed:
Ninos Cantores de Mendoza, Hong Kong Children's Singers, and the American Youth Choir

Ninos Cantores de Mendoza opened the concert.

During one song two of the choir played guitars (seated, each side)

Next were the Hong Kong Children's singers
"Eugene", Dr. Yip's grandson, announced the songs and introduced the group.
